Corporate Finance Research Meeting
7-8 August 2025 - Adelaide
CALL FOR PAPERS SUBMISSION PROCESS
The meeting invites all researchers at FIRN member institutions to submit completed papers focusing on the topic area of corporate finance. To facilitate group interaction, the number of presenters in the meeting will be limited. All the papers are double blind-reviewed by established international scholars. Applicants must commit to attending the whole 2-day meeting, including the group dinner. Submission is not open to doctoral students, although they may request to attend the meeting.
CONDITIONS
- Only 1 paper per presenting author may be submitted.
- Papers may not be already accepted for publication.
- Paper author(s) must allow a copy of the paper to be made available to other conference participants.
- Only completed papers should be submitted.
DEADLINE
30 April 2025
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 30 May 2025.
FORMAT
Please submit (1) a blind copy of the manuscript without author information, and (2) a non-blind copy of the manuscript with a title page containing all author information. Only PDF documents can be submitted.

REGISTRATION & COST
All attendees, including presenters must register as space is limited. There is no registration fee however participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

James A. & Stacy Cooper Bicentennial Professor of Business Administration
Darden School of Business, University of Virginia
Pedro Matos is the Academic Director of Mayo Center for Asset Management, holds the John G. Macfarlane Family Chair and is the James A. and Stacy Cooper Bicentennial Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. His research focuses on the growing importance of institutional investors worldwide. It has been published in leading academic journals as well as monographs for the CFA Institute and featured in the press, including in The Economist, Financial Times, The New York Times, Bloomberg, etc. and received numerous research awards. He is a Research Associate at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and a member of the UN-sponsored Principles for Responsible Investing (PRI) Academic Network Advisory Committee. He previously taught at the University of Southern California and holds a Ph.D. in Finance from INSEAD. More Info can be found here.
