Intensive research meetings

Research intensive meetings occur annually and are for 1 to 2 days duration. In association with various member institutions FIRN invites top international researchers to be involved in these meetings and to lead group discussions.  Invited papers are called from local and international researchers working within, or complementary to, the research topic area.  Meeting formats vary but the overall  benefit to FIRN members is the same for all:  It is to help develop a vibrant and collegial community of academics within Australia, to present cutting-edge research and to create a platform for greater exposure of research being conducted within the FIRN community.  The following research intensive meetings are currently hosted by FIRN.
